La Cie Cinématographique

La Compagnie Cinématographique has already produced and coproduced 33 films (short films and feature films) including 29 theater releases.

Our catalogue is made up of powerful films on topical items, which have been selected, in the biggest international festivals. Among them, the feature-length documentary ‘ Cartoonists – Foots Soldiers of Democracy’ by Stéphanie Valloatto, (Cannes Film Festival 2014 and Cesar Awards 2015) ; ‘ The Source’ by Radu Mihaileanu, (Cannes Film Festival 2011- Official Competition 2011), ‘Under the bombs’ by Philippe Aractingi which has received the ‘Human Rights Price’ in Venice Festival or ‘Return to Ithaca’ by Laurent Cantet, selected in Venice Festival, Toronto and San-Sebastian 2014.
We have also coproduced highly successful films worldwide such as ‘The Concert’ by Radu Mihaileanu (3 millions admissions) or ‘Little White Lies’ by Guillaume Canet (6 millions admissions). The other acclaimed films are ‘Chinese Puzzle’ by Cédric Klapisch, ‘Populaire’ by Régis Roinsard; ‘Wedding cake’ by Denys Granier-Deferre, « Le Grand Soir » de Gustave Kerven and Benoît Délepine ; « A view of love » by Nicole Garcia or « Borderline » by Alexandre Coffre.

La Compagnie Cinématographique, it is also films with powerful heroines such as the life story of « Suzanne » by Katell Quillévéré or the film adaptation of the book ‘Delicacy’ by David Foenkinos by Audrey Tautou. Other films on status of women in the world such as ‘The bag of flour’ by the Belgian Kadija Leclere and some intense drama such as ‘The night Watchman’ by Pierre Jolivet or ‘Robert Mitchum is dead’by Olivier Babinet.

It is also really important to support Belgian talents with directors such as Sylvestre Sbille – ‘I will bury you’ how won Magritte of First Film Award or Kadija Leclere. The production supports talented Belgian directors from the first steps in producing their short-films « Wool ball » by Kadija Leclere, « The big game » by Sylvestre Sbille, « Bizness » by Manu Coeman, « As Hero » by Véronique Jadin and the successful « A better world » by Sacha Feiner which has been rewarded with many prices around the world (Athens, Warsaw, Hollywood..)
Lately, La Compagnie Cinématographique has began producing kids movies such as ‘Santa Claus’ by Alexandre Coffre, the adapation of the cartoon by Peyo « Benoît Brisefer: Les Taxis Rouges » and the animation film on migratory birds « Yellowbird » by Christian De Vita.
